2006-7: Bandit Country Jamboree

No Sicilian blood runs in my veins, but a process of transfusion is happening. Each visit to the island feels like a homecoming rather than a vacation. I am currently on a photographic quest with a book in mind. One that will shock and amaze if I can pull it off. Not another travel book. No coffee table tome of pretty pictures. But in observance of Sicilian omertà, the title is hush hush for now.

Pretty pictures, however, are unavoidable in Sicily. The following shots are mostly unrelated to the book, taken along the way in May, 2006, and May, 2007. A few weeks into the latter trip, Vanessa met me in Catania for some actual R&R (ricotta & rum). Click on a photo for a blowup, but please don't steal my images. Grazie tante!
